Always remember where you came from!

Hello All! Today's proof isn't a huge profound deal it is a simple truth of the life of an addict/alcoholic in recovery! Last night my dog came flying in the kitchen and slid into my legs and threw me literally up in the air. I landed on my bad shoulder and side very hard! It hurt but today my ribs and neck and back and shoulder and knee hurt pretty badly all day! I then had a bunch of challenges pretty much all day regarding sober living! I got home tonight after hearing a dear friend finish speaking on the 12 steps for the month. I laid down and asked God what my daily proof would be in a day like today and it was clear. I was home safe and sound with my pups and never thought of drinking, drugging or fixing my hurting body in any nefarious way! That is because I haven't thought like that in over a dozen years! That is the daily proof! Today and everyday I get up looking to serve my God and he in turn keeps my heart, mind and spirit free from thoughts like that. That is daily proof everyday!
