Fantastic speaker

So I was at a 12 step speaker meeting at my home group. For those of you who aren't familiar; it just means it's where I attend most of my meetings. He brought up how if we drink or drug it only gets worse and never better. This is common in our meeting rooms to discuss but tonight it got me thinking about how this applies to everyone and everything; not just drinking and drugging. The reality is whatever negative thought process, or poor behavior or poor speech regarding others we engage in any area of our lives; those things will always get worse. Think about a time you stayed in your head about something sad or a perceived hurt you may have encountered. The result was more sadness and more anger or hurt. These things are corrosive to God's spirit within us and therefore we must expel them at once. We do this by trying to understand what a person who hurt us is going through or instead of being sad find the positive in it. Even when my mother passed, I cried only once, and it was because she didn't have to suffer anymore. Then I remembered how awesome of a mother she was and still is. I say is because I carry her in my heart with every thought of her awesomeness! The idea is to feed our hearts, bodies and minds with the opposite of what we are feeling in a negative way. There is always a silver lining when God is at the center because we can take comfort in knowing he loves us and has us in his loving arms. Next time you feel any kind of way that isn't good, close your eyes and imagine you laying in Gods arms as he kisses your forehead and says I love you my child, and watch the pain, sadness or discomfort just melt away. God gave me all of this to share tonight because one man said it never gets better! Pay attention God is in all the details no matter how small! God Bless you ALL!
